The County Star Barn Quilt
My family and I love to visit the Oregon Coast and called Manzanita home for a too-short six months. I love seeing the barn quilts throughout Tillamook County and all over the countryside from west to east coasts. I wanted to create my own barn quilt pattern using a large scale paper pieced block with a layout that appears to shimmer from the quilt.
The County Star Barn Quilt is a foundation paper pieced pattern in the Farmland Series made with a set of templates that are repeated in different colors to make the unique starry layout.
Finished Quilt: 40” x 40” (12” block) -or- 74” x 74” (22” block). Yardage requirements and cutting instructions are included for both. Fabric used on cover is Kona Cotton solids, Manchester, Manchester Metallic, and Yarn Dyed Essex by Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
Two new colorways using Violet Craft Modern Basics fabric collection for Robert Kaufman Fabrics.
County Star Blocks can be turned and combined in infinite ways to make new designs. Templates are included for two different sized blocks, 12” and 22”.
