The Jungle Abstractions: The Lion Quilt
The Jungle Abstractions: The Lion Quilt is the second large scale project in my Abstractions series. This foundation paper pieced quilt is made with one striking large scale block.
Alternate Color Charts
The below chart shows the original and two additional color ways, Tropical Lion and Savannah Lion in Michael Miller Cotton Couture swatches. While the digital representations are close, they are not perfect and every screen may render them in a different way.

Robert Kaufman Fall Textures Kit
I released a kit with Robert Kaufman featuring their Manchester, Manchester Metallics, Essex Yarn Dyed and Kona Cotton. Kits are available from local quilt shops or you can create your own kit using the guide below.
We love this colorway created by Cherrywood fabrics! You can purchase this colorway using their hand-dyed fabrics here: The Mighty Savannah Kit.
Alternate Paper Sizes
To print these templates on A3 paper, reduce the pattern to 95%. Maintain the 1/4 seam allowance during construction. The finished quilt top will be 57" square.
In the first 100 copies ever sold, there is a typo in the Lion Piecing Order. Numbers 31 & 32 are reversed and numbers 20 & 21 are reversed. The templates are correctly numbered. The image below shows the correct placement for the numbers.
