The Holly Holiday Quilt
The Holly Holiday Quilt by Violet Craft is a festive quilt pattern using bright colors against a white background to create a visual POP! with a midcentury feel.
The quilt pattern utilizes quarter circle piecing inspired by the traditional Drunkard’s Path block. Although the shape is similar to the Drunkard’s Path and the curved piecing technique is the same, the Holly Holiday Block is trimmed, pieced and combined in a unique way.
Although the pattern is written to use the four blocks with berries turned outward, the blocks can be combined in a number of ways to create a completely different feel to the quilt.
A single block also makes a great pillow cover!
The original quilt was released with Violet’s collection, Christmas on Brambleberry Ridge at International Quilt Market in Houston, TX, October 2015.
Finished cover quilt measures approximately 55" x 55".

The Holly Holiday Quilt utilizes quarter circle piecing. Pattern comes with paper templates to be traced on template plastic. Finished size 55” x 55”.
Kit contains a mix of Out of Print Christmas on Brambleberry Ridge prints for the Holly and Berries and the Holly Holiday pattern. Kit can be purchased with our without the background fabric.
Backing, batting and binding are NOT included in the kits.
This version above of the Holly Holiday pattern finishes at 44” x 44” and uses a modified layout from the original version. Make four Holly Blocks as patterned and reduce the sashing to 1.5” strips between blocks and 2” strips on the outside borders.
The version above finishes at 100” square. To complete this size, make 16 Holly Blocks as patterned with 2.5” sashing between blocks and 8” border strips.
The version above is completed in the size as patterned, rotating the blocks all in the same direction.
