The Tomatoes Quilt
The Tomatoes Quilt is an entirely foundation paper pieced quilt measuring 52” x 52”.
This brand-new quilt pattern, crafted with Violet Craft's signature Abstractions foundation paper piecing technique, seamlessly blends the allure of juicy tomatoes with the elegance of clean midcentury modern styling.
In this pattern, four luscious tomatoes take center stage with their bold colors and geometric shapes. Each tomato comes to life through meticulously designed foundation paper piecing templates, ensuring precise piecing and stunning visual impact.
The Tomatoes Quilt is made of four fully foundation paper-pieced blocks plus sashing and borders. Instructions assume a knowledge of foundation paper piecing. If you are new to paper piecing or just want a thorough explanation of the construction of these blocks, please visit our Tutorials page.

The download is a PDF file containing 18 pages. For best results print the first 4 instructional pages in color on 8.5” x 11” paper.
Two sets of the following 14 pages should be printed in grayscale on a dark enough setting to retain all details on the lightest copy paper available, usually 20# bond. Template pages are 11” x 17” and can not be printed on most home printers. We recommend Staples or Office Depot and the average cost is around $10.

This is a physical paper pattern that will be mailed to your address. Pattern comes with a set of templates printed front and back so that you do not accidentally use your pattern in the making process. Templates will need to be copied before use on 11” x 17” paper. A set of copied templates on 20# bond paper are available for purchase in the options.

Finished Quilt: 52” x 52”
**Kit does not include binding, batting or backing fabric. You will need 3-5/8 yards for backing fabric and 5/8 yard for binding fabric.
Pre-copied templates on 20# copy paper can be added in the selections. If you purchase only the pattern, you will need to copy or trace the template set before beginning.
